The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for Loudoun County and the region, in effect from late Sunday night through Monday afternoon.According to the latest alert, the storm will bring freezing rain, sleet and snow to the region. Four to 8 inches of snow is expected by the time snowfall ends Monday afternoon.
Another snow storm and schools are cancelled again! Our Tuesday Bible Study will probably be cancelled again as it was last week (due to a snow storm). The snow is too deep to make it out of our lane so we will wait for Bruce to plow us out.
It is absolutely silent. Even though we live on 24 acres, surrounded by fields, the Cottage is not far from Rt. 15 and a steady stream of vehicles. I like the sound because it reminds me of my home on Long Island near Southern State Parkway. Same sound.
But today there is no traffic and complete SILENCE. |
